There’s a rumor going ‘round that there’s a Del Taco moving into the old Hardees on 544 by Coastal Carolina University.
CheapEatsMyrtleBeach has attempted to confirm the rumor with Del Taco and is awaiting a reply.
So far, there is only one Del Taco in South Carolina, on Harbison Boulevard in Columbia. But that’s a good sign. At least they’re already in the state. Del Taco is famous for, not surprisingly, tacos but also has burritos and other food. What’s really noteworthy is their dollar value meal selection.
For example, you can get a Value Taco with seasoned beef, crisp shredded lettuce, freshly grated cheddar cheese in a crunchy corn shell or warm flour tortilla for a single dollar.
Here’s link to the entire value meal section. Is that impressive or what?
Einstein Bros Bagels, where they work absolute magic on the already wonderful bagel, has a new bagel to offer. It’s the Bacon & Queso Egg Sandwich. The BQESfeatures seasoned cage-free eggs topped with their new signature queso and Applewood smoked bacon on a choice of fresh baked bagel.
The new queso features double-whipped Jalapeno Salsa Shmear and spicy green chiles for a kick of heat “that will wake up your tastebuds.”
Einstein Bros. Bagels’ says their new Bacon & Queso Egg Sandwich is available at participating locations but NOT those inside colleges.
So guess where the only Einstein Bros Bagels is in the Greater Grand Strand? Yup. 125 Chanticleer Drive West in Conway which puts them right in the middle of Coastal Carolina University.
OK. So maybe there’s no BQES there. But there should be plenty of other options. See pictures, below.

Back in the lineup is Cracker Barrel’s Huckleberry Tea and Pumpkin Pie Latte.
The fall flavors are available until November 29th.
It’s a pretty bold claim but Pizza Inn says that they’ve “out Pan Pizza’d The Hut.”
Pizza Inn announced today the launch of its new House Pan Pizza. The Pizza starts with Pizza Inn’s house-made dough, topped with 100% real whole milk mozzarella cheese and pan-fried to a golden brown. It’s then brushed with a proprietary blend of buttery garlic, Parmesan and Romano cheeses.
The new House Pan Pizza is available on the All You Can Eat Buffet and for delivery or carryout.
To celebrate the launch, Pizza Inn is offering special deals:Purchase one large two-topping House Pan Pizza for $11.99
Purchase two medium, two-topping House Pan Pizzas for $6.99 each Purchase JoJo’s Family Feast through Pizza Inn’s Contactless Buffet-To-Go for only $25.99, which includes four half pizzas (two medium pizzas with up to two toppings on each side) and any two sides items (garlic rolls-8 count; medium garlic cheese bread; medium chocolate chip pizzert; medium cinnamon stromboli or small garden salad) Guests can upgrade to one House Pan Pizza for $26.99 or two for $27.99.
We’re not trying to open the “is it really a cheap eat?” debate again because $24.99 is not cheap. At least for us. We are poor folk. Hard working. Salt of the earth.
Anyhow, for whatever it’s worth, Red Lobster has introduced its new Mariner’s Feast. It features Atlantic salmon topped with creamy langostino and Norway lobster sauce, grilled sea scallops and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp. You get a choice of two sides. And it looks great. Not that we’ll ever be able to try it. Maybe you.
There are two Red Lobsters in the greater Grand Strand area.
